Summary
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools, and loads fonts and graphics only from its own server. Personal data is processed only where technically necessary to deliver the website, when you open a page with an embedded video, or when you send me an email.
Hosting
This website is hosted by Uberspace (Ubernauts GmbH, Kölner Straße 18, 51702 Bergneustadt, Germany). When you visit the website, the server processes your IP address in order to deliver the pages to you. Access logs (server log files) are not enabled for this website. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Uberspace. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is providing the website securely and reliably.
The connection to this website is encrypted via TLS, recognisable by "https://" in the address bar.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. The only exception is the password-protected admin area, which only I use: logging in there sets a technically necessary session cookie. This does not affect visitors to the website.
Embedded YouTube videos
Some project pages contain embedded YouTube videos. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). According to YouTube, in this mode information about your visit is only stored once you play a video. However, as soon as you open a page with an embedded video, your browser connects to Google's servers, transmitting in particular your IP address. This may include a transfer to the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

Embedded Vimeo videos
Several project pages contain embedded Vimeo videos. The provider is Vimeo.com, Inc., 330 West 34th Street, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10001, USA. The videos are embedded with the "Do Not Track" setting, so that according to Vimeo no data for tracking your usage behaviour is stored. When you open a page with an embedded video, your browser connects to Vimeo's servers, transmitting in particular your IP address, including to the USA. Vimeo is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

Contact by email
If you send me an email, I process your email address and the content of your message in order to reply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries about a collaboration or commission. I delete messages once they are no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply. I do not pass your data on to third parties.
Links to other websites
This website contains links to external sites, such as Instagram, Vimeo or the websites of fellow artists. No data is transferred to these providers until you click a link; from then on, their privacy policy applies.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), and to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
